This coffee is farmed and harvested by small holder farmers who process their coffee collectively. Their projects to work on improving quality of coffee rather than solely economic gains. Rich volcanic soils and high altitude contribute to the fantastic cup profile.
Kenyan coffees are graded by screen size and while there are several grades, specialty coffee is AA, AB, or PB (peaberry), used in combination with quality grade FAQ or FAQ Plus (Fair Average Quality).
