Bali Kintamani Arabica Blue Mountain Green Coffee Bean

Kintamani region lies in the north east of Bali at the Batur Caderal. The place is popular for its serene nature but not famous for its distinct coffee production. It is encompassed by coral reefs and surrounded by lavish green plants. Kintamani has high humidity and altitude of 900-1500 meters above the sea level.

Unlike the other places of Indonesia, the Dutch did not begin coffee production in Bali. The traders from Lombok (an Indonesian island) began a coffee plantation in the early days of the 20th century. The rich fertile soil and favorable climate conditions in the region rapidly increased its growth. However, the farms are now taken by the natives and the Balinese coffee still grow in tons.

The delicious aroma and rich taste of Arabica Blue Mountain Bali Kintamani is the reason for its large exportation to Europe and Asia. Our farmers adopt a traditional farming system (Subak Abian) and choose quality control methods by preventing pesticides that make it 100% organic. The Subak Abian is a traditional farming process based on a philosophy that promotes a strong relationship between God, humans and their environment.

This Blue mountain coffee also received the Geographical Indication (GI) award for the product quality and growing conditions. In contrast to Robusta, Arabica beans are now becoming more common around the globe. Therefore, Arabica Bali Kintamani’s production is promptly growing in Bali.

The fresh green coffee beans from the ripe berries are medium but heavy bodied. Kintamani Balinese coffee beans are sweet fruity, tangy citrus in flavor and medium-highly acidic. Despite their intensely sweet and bright aroma, Arabica Bali Kintamani has a light flavor overall.
