With quality as the ultimate target, the country has been known as “the land of a thousand hills”. It has the natural advantages, blessed with its green, rolling hills, together with abundant rainfall and red volcanic soil. Coffee export accounted for approx. 9.6% of total Rwanda export and it only produced approx. 320,000 bags annually.
